"yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” – the bhagavad gita
Hi! My name is Morgan Kennedy and I completed my 200-Hour Uplifted Yoga Teacher Training in September 2020. Additionally, I kicked off 2022 by getting certified in trauma-informed yoga as well as a course to dive deeper into the chakras.
I am specialized in both meditation and vinyasa styled yoga. I also offer chakra focused one-on-one sessions with journaling and informational sheets focused on chakra healing provided as we understand the chakras in your body together.
However, the more my life path has unfolded, the more I have learned that the world needs to be educated on more than just the physical postures of yoga. Yoga is a way of living and thinking - and I would enjoy sharing that mindset with as many people as I am able to.

brief summary:
i have experience teaching both group classes and one-on-one sessions since the beginning of july 2020. i have taught classes independently, through the river edge REC program, at bergen new bridge medical center, for REGAL (river edge girls athletic league), heART in motion studio, and in various other settings. most recently, i have started the position of yoga specialist at sunrise vx, a summer camp for kids with pediatric cancer as well as their siblings.

as someone who is battling thyroid cancer and over three years sober from alcohol and other substances, i want to assist anyone in reaching their goals and finding the calm and grounded life they want, but more importantly… the life that they deserve.
life's stresses take a toll on our relationship with our bodies. the beautiful reality of yoga is that it heals that relationship. whether you've experienced domestic violence, illness (both physical and mental), anxiety, depression, disordered eating, unhealthy habits, or anything that has caused trauma to your mind body connection - YOGA IS FOR YOU.

i am extremely motivated to continue to grow my business and help others. i genuinely look forward to helping my clients transform their lives through yoga, daily mindfulness, and meditation as i have in my own personal life. my goal is to help my clients to blossom into the best versions of themselves while connecting the relationship between their mind, body, and soul.
my ultimate goal is to open a wellness center - a place where people can come at any time to do basic wellness activities. some examples of available activities would be art, music, yoga, games, fitness, and more! my biggest dream is to hold a safe place where people can come to as a peaceful oasis. i want a building where anyone - beliefs, age, gender, size, & color aside - feels comfortable walking in on a tough day for a little pick me up or someone to talk to.

although yoga is much more than the physical postures, i find that wellness is a word that better describes my mission and why i am doing what i am doing.
my dream is to teach everyone how to build up their wellness tool kit - this can include yoga, meditations, art activities, mindfulness games, chakra activities, and other things that bring your soul genuine happiness and clarity.

yoga has saved me in numerous ways, and i would be honored to help you find clarity and serenity in your every day life.
